In 1990 a councillor from Nogent sur Oise, who had married a Beverley girl, approached Beverley College with the idea of a twinning between the two towns. After a visit to Nogent it was decided that each town would set up an Anglo-French Society. The Beverley Nogent Twinning Association grew from this.

A formal twinning agreement between Beverley and Nogent sur Oise was was signed between the East Riding of Yorkshire Council and the Council of Nogent sur Oise in 1998,

In the past 3 years, the Association has developed links with the Italian town of Fucecchio, which has a twinning arrangement with Nogent-Sur-Oise. A Friendship Agreement between Beverley and Fucecchio was signed in April 2024.

We support the Beverley Anglo-French Society and naturally many people are members of both. (For more information on the Beverley Anglo French Society, please visit www.beverleyanglofrenchsociety.co.uk.
