TWINNING ACTIVITIES
We visit Nogent, regularly, where we stay with local families. In return, the Nogentais visit Beverley and stay with us. This visits are planned in advance and there is always a great programme of events planned. For some highlights of recent visits click on the button below.
In order to support these events we also hold fund-raising events throughout the year. These are typically: dinners at Elwells, film nights, wine tastings, quiz nights etc. and are also social occasions.
It is not a requirement to speak French! If your French is not up to speed we try to pair people up so that at least one person in the party can speak both English and French. We also have strong ties with the Beverley branch of the Anglo French Society and many people are members of both organisations. Links With Other Twinning Groups
We work closely with the Beverley-Lemgo Twinning Association which manages the link with Lemgo and Stendhal in Germany.
We have developed a link with the Italian town of Fuccechio, which is a twin town of Nogent-sur-Oise.
How The Group Is Managed
The day to day activities are dealt with by the Officers. The Management Commitee deals with decisions on twinning visits, events, etc. Management Committee Meetings take place bi-monthly at The Monks Walk Inn, Highgate, Beverley, HU17 0DN. All members are welcome to attend.
